Costa Cruise Company

Mum and I were very saddened by the dreadful accident which befell the Costa Concordia cruise ship last Friday. Certainly, our own experiences of 2009 suggest that something like this was simply waiting to happen but we couldn’t help but think of all those people whose holiday anticipation is now ruined and all the junior members of staff who would probably be losing their jobs. On reflection, most of the instances of personal consideration and quality of service sprang from the commitment shown by those in the lower ranks; it is those people higher up in the organisation who will have a lot to answer for. In the meantime, our very best wishes to all who are suffering as a result of the tragedy.
